Our relationship begins with a free, one-hour consultation. Then, if you’re ready to move forward, you have three ways to engage with us for financial planning:

It’s common for people to choose the flat-fee financial plan only. After going through the planning process, many clients do decide to have us manage their portfolios, too. It’s up to you. After all, it’s your money and your financial journey. We like to say, you’re always in charge of your journey, but you’re never alone.

Getting to know you

Once we have a signed engagement letter, we’ll begin the planning process by talking about your dreams. What do you want for yourself and your loved ones? What else do you care about? What’s your risk tolerance and time horizon? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? Next, with your dreams in mind, we’ll conduct a comprehensive review of your net worth and cash flow. 

Many people have a complicated relationship with money—discouragement, stress, or unrealistic expectations. We’ll help you reframe how you think about money so you can dream bigger and start building the future you want.

Delivery

Creating your plan

After Discovery, we’ll get to work on your financial plan. Our strategies are proven, but how we apply them is unique to you. Your lifestyle, goals, and values shape every recommendation we make. We’re thorough, detail-oriented, and committed to giving you a plan that works in the real world—not just on paper.

We’ll meet with you to present a draft of your plan and answer any questions. After listening to your questions and comments, we’ll make any necessary changes, and then deliver your final plan. If you’ve chosen a flat-fee plan, now you’re ready to set it in motion. If we’re also managing your investments, read on. 

Implementation

Putting it all into action

If you’ve chosen to have us manage your investments, we’ll help you implement the action items you approve. Clients often tell us that this hands-on help is the best part of working with us. Whether it’s setting up Roth IRA conversions or a 529 plan, or diversifying your portfolio, we take care of the details. 

Monitoring

Staying on track

If you’ve chosen to have us manage your assets, we’ll monitor them regularly and provide you with a monthly account statement. Every quarter, or in the event of significant market events, we’ll make any movements needed to keep your assets in line with your plan and guide you through market ups and downs.

We’ll meet with you regularly to review your plan and goals. If you’re getting married or divorced, changing jobs, starting a family, buying a home, or preparing to retire—we’re here to help you make the right financial decisions.
