Financial Advisors work closely with clients and finance professionals to strategize ways to enhance profitability or minimize debt expenses. Their job is to meet with clients to help them develop wealth management strategies and other long-term financial practices to maximize their wealth into the future. They may also be responsible for assisting clients in creating a long-term budgeting plan based on their income, personal expense needs and outstanding debts.

 

Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) duties and responsibilities:

A Financial Advisor is responsible for educating clients on the products and services available to help them best utilize their available funds and achieve important monetary goals. The ideal candidate must have the highest interpersonal skills, with an entrepreneurial attitude towards expanding the client base. The individual must also have sound judgment in adopting the investment positions agreed to by clients. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a stockbroker or financial planner, with a certified financial planner certification. The minimum education requirement is a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance.

Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) job duties include:

  • Meeting with clients to determine their financial objectives, risk tolerance, income, expenses and assets

About Us

ROI Tax, LLC was formed with the goal of providing the best possible service to our clients by combining thorough and timely tax review and preparation, strategic consulting to help individuals and businesses obtain greater control over their tax liability, and year-round tax planning as a key component of a larger financial plan. ROI Tax has recently merged with Ohanesian, CPA to work towards this goal, joining two experienced and like-minded teams of accounting and financial professionals.

We are aggressively pursuing opportunities to buy out and partner with other practices lead by experienced CPAs seeking to retire in 3-5 years. Our goal is to open new offices in the Portland Metro area, Bend, and Vancouver, WA over the next 10 years while building up a strong team of tax consultants to operate as managers of these offices. As we develop a proven record, we are also seeking to expand nationally.

ROI Tax, LLC is a sister company of ROI Financial, LLC. ROI Financial is a Registered Investment Advisor and provides financial planning, wealth management, and other related financial advising services to its clients.

Position Overview

This position is for a licensed CPA with 3-5 years of experience with an interest in working towards a senior position as an office manager and potential partner.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work with our expanding team of financial and related industry professionals.
  • Prepare individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary tax returns and amended returns.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation to support each tax return.
  • Coordinate delivery of Tax Organizers (via tax portal, US Mail, and in-person)
  • Receive, review, and resolve federal and state income-tax controversy and inquiries.
  • Use tax portal to deliver and exchange tax documents with clients.
  • Maintain corporate clients’ books and financials in QuickBooks to support tax-filing and tax-planning and advice service.
  • Ensure staff work-assignments flow properly and are completed accurately and timely.
  • Implement technology within client assignments and internal processes.
  • Support team members’ and one’s own pursuit of relevant professional development through current client assignments and outside continuing education and study.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Licensed as a CPA, or pursuing CPA while currently licensed as a LTC or LTP
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in related position.
  • Experience managing an office with supporting staff.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing priorities as the organization grows.
  • Demonstrated high level of self-motivation to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience with UltraTax or similar tax preparation software, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.

Compensation

$55,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Monday-Friday standard hours

Workload and hours will increase during tax season each year.

ROI Tax, LLC is looking to hire a bookkeeper who would work with local businesses and our smaller clients to help them organize their accounting records and lend bookkeeping expertise wherever needed. This would include recording invoice data, maintaining business financial transactions, creating financial statements and related financial reports, remitting of payroll taxes, working with our CPAs during tax season, and any other necessary bookkeeping needs. With time and experience, our bookkeeper would have the opportunity to earn a lead bookkeeping position.

Position Responsibilities:

     • Maintain complete and accurate profit and loss statements and balance sheets to support client tax returns.
     • Maintain corporate clients’ books and financials in QuickBooks to support tax-filing and tax-planning and advice service.

     • Apply company policies, procedures, and tax rules to troubleshoot and resolve tax issues.
